POPULATION EXPLOSION : THREAT TO THE WORLD
On the occasion of World Population Day, Global Peace Foundation appeals all Global Citizens to realise the global challenge of Population Explosion.
The world is currently facing a significant challenge of population explosion which is a threat to global peace and prosperity .
The global human population surpassed 800 crores now marking a significant increase from only 250 crores in the year 1950 to current 800 crores. It was predicted that by the year 2025, India will surpass China and that happened.
Present population of India is 146 crores and that of China is 142 crores now, both combined contributing 36 % of world population.
It is predicted that by the year 2050, world population will reach 1000 crores.
The rapid growth of the world population has become a persistent obstacle to global peace and prosperity.
The impact of population explosion are-
- Increased poverty,
- Increased illiteracy,
- Increased environment pollution,
- Increased unemployment,
- Increased land scarcity & disputes,
- Increased crimes,
- Increased spread of diseases & health issues ,
- Scarcity of natural resources,
- Scarcity of employment & income sources,
- Scarcity of food & food production,
- Scarcity of drinking water, fuel & electricity,
- Rise of road accidents,
- Rise of terrorism,
- Rise of refugees issues,
- Rise of cost of living,
- Rise of corruptions.
- Rise of violence,
- and other unwanted challenges.
Interestingly, less populated countries like those in Europe, USA, UK, Russia, Japan and Australia are more developed than highly populated countries of the world.Despite the negative consequences, there are still conservative people in India who advocate for having more children.
However, it is important that exceeding population size is detrimental to human society.Basing on gravity of the situation, it is imperative for global political leaders to take action and implement population control measures, such as the adoption of One Couple One Child policy, before this issue becomes uncontrollable. This proactive approach is crucial to maintain global peace and progress.
The 10 most populated countries of the world are India, China, USA, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Russia, Japan, Germany, UK and France having combined world share of 65 % populations .Country like Vertican City having only 500 residents is the lowest populated country in the world.Population forecast about India is 152 crores in the year 2030, 162 crores in the year 2040 and 168 crores in the year 2050.
During last two lakhs years, world population was only one crore. But during last 200 years, world population exceeded 800 crores.
It is expected that by the year 2050, it may exceed 1000 crores.Global population groth per year is 14 crores and that of India alone is 1.5 crores.More the population of the country, more the population related issues and less the alround growth of the country.
Population explosion stands as the root cause of all issues in the world.The causes of population explosion are Early marriage, Poverty, Illiteracy,Lack of sex education,ack of awareness, Lack of women empowerment and Superstitions.
In this critical situation, Global Peace Foundation appeals all the global political leaders to discuss about formation of federal supreme Global Government which can efficiently deal with all the critical global issues with its authority.
